Students interested in studying abroad should normally have completed at least 1 year of undergraduate studies before starting their studies at the University of Greenwich.

Additional eligibility criteria for applicants:

  • Minimum of 2.8 on 4.00 GPA scale (3.00 for Engineering, Architecture & Construction and Computing and Mathematical Science)
  • English language requirements:
  1. IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component (only considered if the test date has not expired) If you have taken another English language exam, please get in touch directly to check whether this is accepted.
  2. Nationals of a majority English-speaking country if in the application process it has been demonstrated that they are able to understand all facets of English competencies to the required level
  • When applying, students should be prepared to upload a copy of their passport or ID card, and a copy of their transcript to date from their home university.


Accept via UCAS

You can accept your offer via UCAS, via email or by paying a confirmation deposit, depending on how you applied.

Accept directly

If you are a UK student who has applied directly to us or an international student who is sponsored (by your government/company) you can accept your place by emailing us.

Accept via deposit

International students can accept their place by paying a £3000 deposit. However, If you are sponsored by a government or organisation (e.g. US Federal Aid) you can accept directly by following instructions above.

Most undergraduate students apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). If you wish to study part-time, you apply to the university directly. Students from outside the UK can also apply this way.

For most postgraduate courses, you apply directly to the university. A small number of courses have other application routes. International students may also be able to apply through one of our in-country representatives.


You can live in halls on or near our campuses and stay in student accommodation every year of your course. We also run buses between campuses, including a free service between Greenwich and Avery Hill. Our student accommodation is safe and secure with 24/7 support. You’ll also pay less than you would at other London universities. Our student accommodation is the second cheapest in London (The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023).
