This course is ideal for those who want to prepare for a career in computer science without the need to focus solely on one particular subject area at this stage.

The course equips you to fully understand the application of computing technology in real-world situations with study focused at the cutting edge of computational technologies. Subjects range from networking and data modelling to intelligent systems and data mining and you also complete a MSc Computer Science research project in a subject area of your choice.

You also gain in-depth skills in network management and administration including essential security aspects grid-computing and fault tolerance.

Intermediate qualifications available:

  • Postgraduate certificate – 60 credits at Master’s level
  • Postgraduate diploma – 120 credits at Master’s level
