The University of East London (UEL) is a public institution located in East London, England. Established in 1992, UEL traces its origins to the West Ham Technical Institute founded in 1898. The university operates across three campuses: Docklands, Stratford, and University Square Stratford.

UEL offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with a student population of approximately 25,000, including over 4,000 international students from more than 140 countries. The university is recognized for its commitment to inclusivity and diversity, ranking 1st in the UK and 2nd globally for addressing inequalities according to the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2020.
